My, my, what great cause of confusion

I truly pity anyone that didn't "get it", so to speak, I thought it was pretty damn awesome, funny, and even to some extent fun. Admittedly I came here after watching Dot Dot Dot, but this is indeed a really cute RPG ;D

Hehe?

I don't think it's that good, I'm afraid...

Seems more like Epic War: Revisited

It's not even that the game is bad or not likable in any way. In fact, I love the game. However it doesn't feel like Epic War 2, it doesn't have anything new and dazzling, game play is almost exactly the same except that each skirmish starts you off from scratch rather than a developed city. That's rather annoying and makes it difficult to play the game for more than 2 or 3 levels in a row but I tend to come back sooner or later.

Ultimately though, it feels more like an expansion pack to the original Epic War. It just doesn't bring anything notably excitingly new to the game.

Needs some fixing

Awesome visuals, and the game itself is awesome as well. But it really does get honest. I thnk that every war should be divided into battles. If it was a little more like GemCraft, with the real world and the battle section, it would probably keep people interested for longer.

It was alright...

Ther wasn't too much fun in it and it was difficult to make any turns. Overall this was a game I thought there was no need to get good at.

Well...

I hope this is just the beta, it would be much more exciting if the level had some nice background, cool looking textures and such rather than just a plain level that looks as if its been drawn in Paint. That needs a lot more effort. The game itself is hardly good at this point, and you'll need a lot of things to make it better.

As a start, you should try to make it a little more...well I don't know what word to use, but the fact is that when both Megaman and Zero can jump tremendous distances and kill every enemy in one hit there is a serious problem.

Oh and of course don't make the levels so straightforward. And if possible add a Dash ability!

Not as good as it could have been

When I first started, I was somewhat disappointed, because the general presentation of the game was poor. Not that it was bad, it's just that the 2nd game seemed much better.

But I started playing it, and having played the other two, I managed to get a few gold stars, perfects and obviously got stuck on the hard songs. But I wouldn't blame you for that, your intent was to make a game and it's not for me to decide that it sucks because it's too hard.

Now the thing is I love the new stuff. I noticed you added in the progress of the song, which is great, and damn helpful. The songs themselves were poorly chosen in my opinion, they remind me a lot of the Rockband songs, most of which aren't that good. Some of them were okay, but they quickly got boring.

Another thing that somewhat annoyed me was the extreme duration of the songs. The average length jumped up to 3-4 minutes. That was a pain when I first started playing, especially when I was aiming for perfects and lost it just at the end. But again , I wouldn'tpenalize for that.

So what really brings the game down comes down to a few things:

1) Poor presentation. I'm sorry, but when I first started up this game, I just thought to myself, "Wow, this looks worse than the second one."

2) This is a small point, but I don't like the new stickman. -0.001 for that. I prefer the flaming guitar.

3) Songs are of poor choice. There are some good ones, but most are very annoying long ones. Variety = good, but most of these are the same style and are all boring to me.

4) I prefer the old controls.

Most of these are my own opinion, so don't take it harshly, but all in all, I played for about two hours and don't plan on playing again as opposed to the second one which I played for days in an effort to get all perfects (which I still am aiming for and still play). I'm not sure what it is, but I think those four points are what made the second game better.

Great game

Well, since this game has already been criticized in every way, I'll just note a few things I would like to see in a future installment.

1) Something that tells you how close you are to the next multiplier.
2) A third level of difficulty.
3) More unlockables.
4) More songs.
5) Instead of the hits over total notes so far, make something like hits - misses

Really great, though I must admit the pro songs are difficult. Managed to gold star all of them and perfect one.

I guess it's okay...

It is a little too simple. Perhaps what saves it is the funny comments that the stick figure says.

Not bad

I gets monotonous to do the same thing over and over. Perhaps include a store or something where after every level you can buy upgrades (shield bigger, faster movement etc.)

For such a basic game, nice job.

I come on Newgrounds to find nice music and occasionally play a game. I love to review though I tend to avoid writing bad reviews. No point in making the bad worse...
